Preheat oven to 400 F. Lightly grease muffin tin and set aside. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt In a small bowl, combine milk, eggs, oil, lemon peel, lemon juice and poppy seeds Add to dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened. Spoon into muffin cups, filling 3/4 full Bake in preheated oven until lightly browned, 15 min. Remove from pan immediately cool on wire racks. Makes 12 muffins.
