Alton Brown's Granola

3 cups rolled s
1 cup slivered onds
1 cup hews
3/4 cup shredded sweet onut
1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons dark wn sugar
1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons le syrup
1/4 cup etable oil
3/4 teaspoon t
1 cup sins

1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees F. 2. In a large bowl, combine the oats, nuts, coconut, and brown sugar. 3. In a separate bowl, combine maple syrup, oil, and salt. Combine both mixtures and pour onto 2 sheet pans. Cook for 1 hour and 15 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes to achieve an even color. 4. Remove from oven and transfer into a large bowl. Add raisins and mix until evenly distributed.

Apple Granola Smoothie

Meatless Low Fat Kid Friendly Quick No Cook Vita-Mix Snacks Breakfast Apples Uncategorized

1/3 cup le juice concentrate
1/3 cup Water
1 teaspoon illa extract
1 scoop Whole Nectar Ultimate Soy tein Smoothie Mix (5 tablespoons)
1 teaspoon namon
1/3 cup Granola lowfat
1 le halved
1 1/2 cups Ice (up to 2 cups)

Place all ingredients into Vita-Mix container in order listed. Secure lid. Select Variable #1, turn to ON, and quickly increase speed to #10. Switch to HIGH. Run about 20 seconds until smooth. Use tamper, if necessary, to help circulate ingredients.

2 cups regular rolled s
1 1 cup coarsely chopped slivered or sliced onds
1 1 cup chopped nuts
1 1 cup sunflower nuts
1 1 cup ey
1/3 cup etable oil

Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Grease jellyroll (15 x 10 x 1) pan (or use parchment paper) . Stir together dry ingredients. In separate bowl, combine honey and oil; stir into oat mixture. Spread mixture evenly into prepared pan. Bake for 20 minutes then stir. Bake for another 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned. After baking immediately turn mixture out onto a large piece of foil. Allow to cool and then break into chunks. Store at room temperature in tightly sealed containers or bags for up to 2 weeks. May also be stored longer in the freezer
