This halwa is a rich, Indian dessert of eggs and milk flavored with cardamom. Keep stirring or else it will burn! You can add vanilla if you feel it tastes too eggy. It's a little heavy, so even a small portion is enough to satisfy your sweet tooth.

A crust of crushed crackers and melted butter is pressed into the bottom of a pan and then topped with a filling of lemonade concentrate, whipped topping and sweetened condensed milk. Chill before serving.

This is a nice molded gelatin salad that looks quite wonderful when un-molded. Lime gelatin is dissolved in pear juice and then folded into beaten cream cheese and chilled. Just before placing in a mold, whipped topping and pureed pears are folded in. Makes six generous, sweet servings.

Very fancy and delicious, this tart 's fillings are baked in puff pastry. Apples are sliced, piled onto a large round of pastry and covered with a sweet ground almond crumb mixture. After it 's baked and while still warm, a wonderful sherry sauce is poured over this lovely tart.

A chocolaty, cookie crumb crust is filled with a silky, chiffon custard filling. The filling is gelatin-based that includes eggs, sugar and milk. When it 's thick and well-blended, sherry, almond extract, chopped almonds and beaten egg whites are folded in. The pie is then cooked up slowly and carefully in a double boiler.

The bananas are first marinated in pineapple juice, and then they are arranged in a prepared pie crust. Before the top crust is put on, the bananas are liberally sprinkled with cinnamon sugar. Thirty minutes later, the pie emerges fragrant and golden. Top it with ice cream and chocolate syrup -if you dare.
