1 pound Self raising ur
8 ounces sins
8 ounces currants
8 ounces sultanas
4 ounces chopped peel
8 ounces demerara ar
10 fluid ozs hot
1 large beaten.
Line two 1 lb loaf tins (the bases lined with silicone paper ). Place all the fruit, including the candied peel, in a bowl, then dissolve the sugar in the hot tea. Pour this over the fruit Cover the bowl and leave it overnight so the fruit becomes plump.. Next day, pre-heat the oven to gas mark 3, 325?F (170?C). Add the beaten egg mixture to the bowl containing the fruit. Then add the flour and give everything a really good mix. It's much easier if you get in there with your hands! Divide the mixture between the prepared loaf tins and bake them in the centre of the oven for 1?-1? hours, until they feel springy in the centre. For a fan oven, bake for around 1 hour. Then straight away, turn them out on to a wire rack to cool.

2 cups ar

1/8 teaspoon t
1 cup termilk
Icing
1/3 cup ter melted
2 cups dered sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons illa
2 tablespoons Hot water
Mix the Sugar and Crisco until Creamy. Add the rest of the items, do about half of the flour then add the buttermilk then add the rest of the flour. Bake ~~at; 375 for 10 min. or until golden brown. Icing: add the hot water based on the desired consistency. If you want it thicker don't add much if you want it less thick add more water.
