Soup Tomato Tortellini Crock Pot Slow cook Kid Friendly Meatless Vegetarian Tomatoes American

1 (28-ounce) can crushed atoes
2 tablespoons extra-virgin basil ve oil
2 finely diced llots
2 lic cloves finely diced
2 tablespoons finely chopped me leaves
32 ounces ato Juice
3 ounce ato paste
1/2 cup heavy am
1 cup cken broth

1 tablespoon chiffonnade il for garnish
1 32oz ato Juice

Puree the crushed tomatoes and set aside. In a heavy frying pan heat basil, thyme, garlic and olive oil and cook until soft. After you do this add all of these ingredients and the rest into a slow cooker. I had it on low for 8-10 hours. About 1.5 hrs before i was ready to eat I added frozen tortellini. Pour soup into bowls and garnish with basil. Serve immediately with grilled cheese sandwich. Note: This can be frozen. However, the tortellini will soak up the soup so when you reheat you might need to add more water and cream. It freezes great without the tortellini as a tomato soup.
