1/3 cup packed fresh il leaves
3 cloves lic crushed
1/4 cup ve oil
1/2 lb f pastry
1 beaten
1/4 tsp ground ck pepper

Combine basil, garlic and olive oil in robot-coupe until you have a fine paste. Roll out dough into rectangle shape, roughly 15" x 12". Using a spoon or brush, spread basil mixture thinly over entire dough. Starting at the long end, roll each side evenly inward til they meet. Brush with egg wash if necessary to dough together. Slice across the roll into 1/4-inch palmiers. They should look like small scrolls. Arrange on parchment-lined sheet tray. Sprinkle with black pepper and bake until GBD. Serve warm.
